What is the PCA Program?
The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Program is a MassHealth program that helps people with permanent or chronic disabilities live at home by providing funds to hire PCAs. PCAs can help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as:
- mobility, including transfers
- range of motion exercises
Income and Health Care
Getting the right medical care can be a challenge for anyone, but people with disabilities face denials of basic coverage, services, and equipment on a regular basis. Stavros advocates understand the rights of disabled people and their protection under the law, and they know how to fight to get the right care.
Housing and Mobility
Finding affordable, accessible housing can be one of the biggest challenges faced by persons with disabilities. The rent at many apartments is out of reach for many persons with disabilities. At Stavros, we provide the resources and assistance people need to find housing that works for them.
Independence at Home
Adding new features to bathrooms or kitchens or adding an outdoor ramp can make the difference between dependence and independence. Wheelchair ramps provide people with disabilities and their families the ability to remain at home and be part of the community.
